Portland ‘Pataphysical Society presents Best guess for this image: Chevy Bow Tie Exhaust Tips, a solo exhibition of recent work by artist Aaron Whitney Bjork.

An unstable equilibrium exists between aesthetics, resistance, mediated social networks and IRL subcultures. Through these points, Bjork navigates the disparate pairings of digital connectivity and car culture, shedding light on the fetishistic nature, personalization and embedded ideologies that form affect around these lifestyles. The site specific installation features video, window murals and printed matter that pull from nonsensical memetic actions as forms of resistance.
